About the role

The Year 10 Learning & Engagement Leader is a senior teaching position within John Pirie Secondary School, classified as Leader Band B-1. The role focuses on coordinating learning programs and student engagement for Year 10, while contributing to school-wide improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation and evaluation of Year 10 curriculum and engagement strategies.
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff and senior leadership to align learning outcomes with school goals.
• Monitor student progress, analyse data and develop targeted interventions.
• Mentor and support teaching staff in best practices for student engagement.
• Participate in school governance, policy development and professional learning communities.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with current registration.
• Demonstrated experience in secondary education, preferably with Year 10 cohorts.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
