Works and Construction Labourer

About the role

This part‑time, temporary position is based in Maryborough, Victoria and supports the Roads and Works crew in maintaining assets and infrastructure across the Central Goldfields Shire.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the upkeep of roads, bridges and other council infrastructure.
• Perform general labour tasks such as loading, unloading, digging and site clean‑up.
• Operate basic hand tools and equipment safely under supervision.
• Work collaboratively with team members to identify and resolve on‑site issues.
• Follow council safety procedures and contribute to a clean, organised work environment.

Required profile

• Positive, “can‑do” attitude with a willingness to work as part of a team.
• Ability to follow instructions, adhere to safety standards and contribute to problem‑solving.
