Project Manager – Service Delivery Centre

About the role

Join Downer’s high‑performing team at the Maryborough Service Delivery Centre as a Project Manager. You will own the delivery of key projects from bid through to completion, ensuring safety, schedule, budget and quality targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex projects from initiation to hand‑over, developing detailed plans, schedules and budgets.
• Identify, assess and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies.
• Drive commercial performance through contract administration and variation negotiations.
• Monitor costs, track efficiencies and pursue continuous improvement opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Coach, motivate and coordinate cross‑functional project teams within a matrix environment.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and operational standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Project Manager.
• Proven track record in project and contract management.
• Strong understanding of project scheduling, cost control and risk management.
• Experience interpreting tender specifications and commercial contracts.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
• Willingness to travel interstate and internationally as required.
