Volunteer Nail Care (Pamper Sessions) - Aged Care, Darlinghurst

About the role

HammondCare, an independent Christian charity providing the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme funded by the Australian Government, is looking for volunteers to bring a beauty parlour to its residential aged care home in Darlinghurst. Residents enjoy hand massages, a splash of nail polish and other pampering moments, and many live with dementia and value these connections. No cutting or beauty expertise is needed, just a gentle touch and a warm smile.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one-hour pamper sessions such as hand massage and nail polish to residents
• Visit regularly to improve quality of life and reduce isolation
• Share your time and heart with residents, including those living with dementia

Required profile

• Aged 18 or older
• An NDIS Worker Screening Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare
• Availability for a one-hour (or longer) commitment weekly or fortnightly at 10am, 1pm or 2pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or weekends

The site is not eligible for Centrelink-approved volunteering and cannot be used for Centrelink volunteer hour sign-off. Interested applicants are contacted by phone or text, then by email if needed; more information is available on the HammondCare volunteering website.
