Weekday Morning Coffee Trolley Volunteer

About the role

HammondCare, an independent Christian charity providing the Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government, is looking for volunteers to serve coffee and tea in a residential care home in Darlinghurst. The role is a weekday morning coffee trolley visit, where you bring warmth and smiles to residents with cups of coffee, tea, chai lattes and hot chocolate.

No experience is needed: volunteers receive full support and training on the portable coffee machine, so they can pour with confidence and enjoy the work.

Key responsibilities

• Serve coffee, tea, chai lattes and hot chocolate to residents during weekday mornings.
• Visit the home regularly as a social visitor, helping to improve quality of life and reduce isolation.
• Work for 2 hours each day, between 10 am and midday, on weekdays; weekends are not required.

Required profile

• Age 18 or older.
• A national volunteer police check, which HammondCare arranges and pays for.
• Availability for weekday mornings between 10 am and midday, 2 hours per day.

Note: this site is not eligible for Centrelink-approved volunteering and cannot be used for Centrelink volunteer hour sign-off.
