Training Specialist – Learning & Development

About the role

The Training Specialist will lead and coordinate the organisation's training function, ensuring employees have the skills, knowledge and confidence to perform safely and effectively. This role focuses on developing practical, role‑specific learning programs, managing the learning management system and ensuring training compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Learning Management System (LMS), including content, user access and updates.
• Monitor mandatory training participation, prepare compliance reports and evaluate programme effectiveness.
• Design, develop and deliver engaging training programmes aligned with business objectives.
• Build and maintain a skills and competency matrix, identify gaps and support capability planning.
• Collaborate with People & Culture, operational managers, subject matter experts and external training providers.

Required profile

• Qualification in Training and Assessment, Human Resources or related field.
• At least five years’ experience in training coordination or Learning & Development.
• Proven ability to design, coordinate and deliver effective training programmes.
• Strong communication, facilitation and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
