Training Specialist – Lead Learning & Development

About the role

The Training Specialist will lead and coordinate the organisation's training function, ensuring employees have the skills, knowledge and confidence to perform safely and effectively. This role focuses on developing practical, role‑specific learning programs, managing the learning management system and compliance, and partnering with leaders and subject‑matter experts.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Learning Management System (LMS), including content, user access and system updates.
• Monitor mandatory training requirements, participation and completion rates, and prepare compliance reports for leaders.
• Design, develop, coordinate and deliver engaging training programs covering safety, conflict resolution, diversity and role‑specific competencies.
• Build and maintain an organisation‑wide skills and competency matrix, track gaps and support planning of development activities.
• Collaborate with People & Culture, operational managers, RTOs, GTOs and external providers to deliver apprenticeship, traineeship and graduate programs.

Required profile

• Qualification in Training and Assessment, Human Resources or a related field.
• At least five years of experience in training coordination, Learning & Development or a related HR function.
• Demonstrated experience designing, coordinating and delivering effective training programs.
• Strong communication, facilitation and stakeholder‑engagement skills.

Required skills

• Project planning and budget management for training initiatives.
