Human Resources Manager

About the role

Mossop Construction + Interiors is seeking an experienced HR professional to lead the HR function, provide strategic direction and ensure day‑to‑day people operations run smoothly across its commercial construction and fit‑out projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives and legislative requirements.
• Lead, mentor and grow the HR team while partnering with senior management.
• Manage employee relations, industrial relations, complex HR matters and workplace wellbeing initiatives.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, retention, performance reviews, learning, development and succession planning.
• Maintain HR policies, procedures, systems, remuneration structures, benefits and budgets.

Required profile

• At least seven years of HR experience, including leadership of teams.
• Experience in commercial construction or a similar project‑driven environment is highly regarded.
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, industrial relations, awards and compliance.
• Ability to advise and influence senior leaders while balancing business goals and fair people outcomes.

Required skills

• Proficiency in HRIS and HR policy development.
• Expertise in workforce planning, performance management, remuneration and employee engagement.
