Trainer & Assessor – Diploma of Community Services

About the role
Southern Cross Education Institute is looking for an experienced Trainer & Assessor to deliver the Diploma of Community Services. The position can be full‑time or part‑time, working five or three days a week on‑site at our North Melbourne campus.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver classes in line with relevant training standards.
- Mark student assessments and update results in the student management system.
- Provide timely feedback and support to students.
- Liaise with administration to keep student records current.
- Engage in professional development to maintain industry currency.
- Collect student feedback and work with the Training Manager to resolve issues.
Required profile
- Diploma or higher qualification in Community Services or a related discipline.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
- 3–4 years experience in the community services sector (excluding support work).
- Proven ability to motivate and coach adult learners.
- Proactive and positive teaching approach.
