Trading Manager – Retail Category Leader

About the role

MECCA is seeking an exceptional Trading Manager for its new flagship store on Bourke Street. You will lead category performance in Colour, Skin or Fragrance, shaping team success and delivering outstanding customer experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Lead by example to deliver exceptional customer experiences and uphold MECCA’s service standards.
• Collaborate with Assistant Trading Manager and Services Manager to drive category, brand and service performance.
• Use key performance indicators to drive commercial results and ensure daily team focus on goals.
• Partner with stakeholders to implement trials and innovations, providing feedback and data analysis.
• Work with concession partners to enhance operational efficiency and drive trade.
• Operate with agility in a dynamic environment and apply critical thinking to solve complex problems.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years experience managing a large‑format retail environment, inspiring and coaching large teams.
• Passion for exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences.
• Strong stakeholder management experience both internally and externally.
• Proven coaching and mentoring abilities focused on team development.
• Make‑it‑happen mindset with ability to build strong relationships.
