Tax Specialist – Deal Advisory (M&A)

About the role

As a Tax Specialist in EY’s Deal Advisory team, you will support a diverse portfolio of clients on M&A transactions, providing tax structuring, due diligence and post‑deal planning. Based in Brisbane, the role combines on‑site collaboration with flexible hybrid working.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on domestic and international tax matters throughout the M&A lifecycle, including due diligence, structuring and advisory engagements.
• Project‑manage multidisciplinary teams across specialties and geographies to deliver seamless transaction support.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members while staying current on tax law changes and industry trends.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Australian tax consulting within a top‑tier accounting firm, corporate tax, or legal environment.
• Hands‑on experience with inbound and outbound transaction consulting, international tax research, planning, compliance, tax due diligence, deal structuring and post‑acquisition planning.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly to clients.
