Graduate Accountant

About the role

Kick‑start your accounting career with hands‑on experience at CMTP’s Colac head office. You will work closely with the Finance Manager and a supportive team of five, gaining exposure to financial reporting, reconciliations, month‑end processes and the commercial side of the business.

Key responsibilities

• Perform bank and credit‑card reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
• Conduct general ledger and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes, including journal preparation, accruals and pre‑payments.
• Help with intercompany accounting and reconciliations.
• Provide ad‑hoc support to the wider Finance team as required.

Required profile

• Recently completed or completing an Accounting, Commerce or related degree.
• Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn, take on new challenges and a positive work ethic.
• Interest in pursuing CA or CPA qualifications in the future.
