Structural Engineer

About the role

Join Aurecon's Mining & Resources team in Brisbane as a Structural Engineer. You will work on major bulk materials handling projects and contribute to complex industrial and emerging market initiatives, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver innovative structural engineering solutions across major bulk materials handling projects.
• Contribute to the delivery of projects and design packages, working closely with experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support the development of practical and efficient engineering solutions from concept through detailed design.
• Engage with clients and project stakeholders as part of project delivery teams.
• Collaborate with colleagues across Australia and globally, sharing ideas and learning from a diverse network of technical specialists.
• Continue developing your career through meaningful project experience, mentoring, technical learning and professional development opportunities.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering qualifications and demonstrated experience in structural engineering.
• Experience in mining, resources or heavy industrial infrastructure, especially bulk materials handling facilities.
• Working knowledge of engineering tools such as SpaceGass, Strand7, ANSYS, Rhino/Grasshopper, Navisworks or similar software.
• Proactive problem‑solving approach with willingness to take ownership of work.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build effective relationships with clients and team members.
• Desire to learn, grow and contribute to a high‑performing engineering team.
