Digital Engineering Lead – Queensland Transport

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Digital Engineering Lead to shape the future of transport in Queensland through digital innovation. You will drive BIM, information management and digital delivery across major transport projects, collaborating with clients, contractors and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead digital engineering and information management activities on large‑scale transport projects.
• Develop and implement BIM Execution Plans, Information Management Plans and digital delivery frameworks.
• Set up and manage Common Data Environments, collaboration platforms and information workflows.
• Oversee coordination, review and quality assurance of models and digital deliverables.
• Provide strategic advice on digital scope, resourcing and project delivery approaches.
• Mentor BIM and digital engineering practitioners and contribute to Aurecon’s technical communities.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in Engineering, Architecture, Construction, IT or equivalent experience.
• Significant experience leading BIM and information management on infrastructure projects, preferably transport.
• Strong understanding of design, construction and handover phases.
• Proven stakeholder engagement and relationship‑building skills.
• Collaborative mindset with ability to influence and coach teams.
