Speech Pathologist - Team Leader

About the role

Ability Action Australia, one of the largest NDIS providers, is looking for an experienced Speech Pathologist to lead a team in Jandakot. The role combines clinical practice with mentoring and developing team members, and suits either an established leader or an experienced clinician ready to move into management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage an allocated caseload and deliver speech pathology services to participants in schools, homes and the local community
• Use clinical observations and standardised assessments to set individual treatment goals and provide evidence-based interventions
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
• Mentor and supervise graduate and early-career Speech Pathologists, and support their professional development
• Help build a supportive team environment and optimise scheduling, referrals and workflow
• Stay aware of current NDIS legislation to ensure compliance

Required profile

• Current SPA registration as a Speech Pathologist
• At least 3 years of experience as a Speech Pathologist after graduation
• Leadership capability and excellent time management to manage a varied caseload
• Proactive attitude, desire to mentor graduates and early-career clinicians, and genuine passion for the disability sector
