Occupational Therapist - Adult Mental Health Caseload

About the role

Ability Action Australia, one of the largest NDIS providers, is recruiting an Occupational Therapist for its South Perth team. The role suits clinicians who enjoy psychosocial disability and want to shape their caseload around their interests, with a strong focus on adult psychosocial practice and the option to broaden experience elsewhere. Optional FIFO opportunities to Kalgoorlie, Geraldton and Port Hedland are available, with travel and accommodation arranged.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload aligned with your areas of interest
• Conduct clinical assessments across emotional, psychological, cognitive, developmental and physical functions
• Develop individualised, evidence-based therapy goals and interventions
• Provide environmental modification advice for homes, schools, workplaces and residential settings
• Recommend and facilitate Assistive Technology to promote independence
• Stay compliant with current legislation and NDIS guidelines
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• A proactive, client-centred mindset and a passion for the disability and community sector
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
