Small Business Specialist – Banking

About the role

The Small Business Specialist supports new and existing small‑business customers who visit the Brookvale branch or are referred through other channels. You will deliver full lending and working‑capital solutions to help clients start, run, and grow their businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary commercial contact for the branch, ensuring a visible and collaborative presence.
• Provide excellent customer service and tailored financial solutions to a broad range of business customers.
• Build and maintain strong internal and external networks, including a local Circle of Influence.
• Meet and exceed performance targets through proactive outreach and relationship management.
• Conduct outbound calls to existing customers to uncover additional needs.
• Engage face‑to‑face with the local community and business partners.

Required profile

• Proven relationship‑management abilities to influence and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Experience in business development, partnering with individuals or organisations to drive commercial value.
• Strong customer‑solutioning skills, understanding client needs and presenting appropriate products or services.
• Delivery‑management capability to plan, execute, and monitor initiatives.
• Solid credit‑analysis expertise, assessing borrowers using the 5Cs of credit.
