Site Supervisor – Civil Infrastructure

About the role

Lead the day‑to‑day operations on civil infrastructure sites for Brefni, a 30‑year‑old contractor operating across transport, defence, energy and water projects in New South Wales. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will coordinate self‑perform and subcontractor works, ensure safety and quality compliance, and drive the programme towards successful delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise site teams through all phases of project delivery.
• Coordinate civil and structural construction activities, including roads, drainage, earthworks and utilities.
• Manage self‑perform works and monitor subcontractor performance.
• Enforce safety, quality and environmental standards on‑site.
• Track programme milestones, productivity and project progress.
• Maintain accurate site records, reporting and documentation.
• Liaise with project teams, suppliers and stakeholders to support successful outcomes.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role within civil construction.
• Trade or civil construction background is highly regarded.
• Demonstrated ability to lead crews and manage subcontractors.
• Strong understanding of safety, quality and environmental obligations.
• Commercial awareness and confidence using project management systems.
• Current White Card; RIW/RISI tickets desirable but not essential.
