Project Officer – Campus Space Planning

About the role

As a Project Officer in Campus and Space Planning, you will help shape the future of Charles Sturt University’s campuses. Working within the Strategic Infrastructure team, you will support the analysis, planning and management of campus spaces to meet learning, teaching and research needs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain space strategies aligned with university objectives.
• Analyse utilisation data and produce evidence‑based recommendations.
• Prepare project briefs, coordinate space audits and support implementation of space projects.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external consultants and facilities teams.
• Manage multiple projects, timelines and competing priorities.

Required profile

• Qualification in planning, architecture, construction or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Organised, proactive and able to manage several projects simultaneously.
• Passion for creating environments that enhance learning and research.

What we offer

• Full‑time fixed‑term contract until March 2027 (Level 7).
• Hybrid work model – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.
• 35‑hour work week with competitive salary $101,421‑$110,819 pa plus superannuation.
