Site Manager – Commercial Construction

About the role

Buildcorp is seeking an experienced Site Manager or Senior Site Manager to lead the delivery of commercial construction and fit‑out projects in Melbourne. This senior on‑site leadership position oversees day‑to‑day operations, program delivery, subcontractor coordination, and ensures high standards of quality, safety, and client experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end site delivery from early works through practical completion and handover.
• Drive the construction programme, including look‑aheads, sequencing, resource planning and productivity.
• Lead and coordinate large multi‑disciplinary subcontractor teams across all trades.
• Own site safety culture and WHS compliance across every work front.
• Set and maintain quality standards aligned with Buildcorp’s reputation and client expectations.
• Partner with delivery and commercial teams to deliver on time, on budget, and on brief.
• Manage client, consultant and authority interfaces on site.
• Mentor and develop junior site staff.

Required profile

• Proven track record as a Site Manager (or Senior Site Manager) delivering commercial construction, fit‑out and/or refurbishment projects in Melbourne.
• Strong technical understanding of fit‑out and interiors, including joinery, services coordination and finishes trades.
• Experience with live‑environment or occupied‑building projects is preferred.
• Effective subcontractor leadership, clear communication and professional representation of Buildcorp.
• Relevant qualifications in Building, Construction Management or a trade background.
• Experience within a Tier 2 head‑contractor environment is advantageous.
