Service Technician – Preventative Maintenance

About the role

Henry Schein is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Technician to join its service team in Australia. You will travel to dental practices and perform scheduled maintenance on a range of equipment, ensuring reliability, safety and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver scheduled preventative maintenance on dental treatment units, compressors, suction units and sterilizers.
• Perform inspections, servicing, validation, calibration and testing according to manufacturer specifications and Australian Standards.
• Identify equipment risks, wear and faults, and document findings and recommendations.
• Escalate repair or replacement opportunities through established service and sales processes.
• Educate customers on proper equipment operation and care, building trusted technical relationships.

Required profile

• Experience in field service or customer‑facing technical support, preferably in dental, medical or healthcare equipment.
• Strong mechanical, electrical or electronic aptitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage service schedules.
• Commitment to safety, quality and compliance standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience using CRM platforms (Salesforce desirable).
• Testing and Tagging accreditation.
• Electrical or Electronic qualifications and a Restricted Electrical Licence (support available for licensing).
