Senior Technical Facilities Manager

About the role

AustCorp is recruiting a Senior Technical Facilities / Contracts Manager in Melbourne, ideally with hospital experience, to lead hard and soft FM services across several facilities in the Inner Northern Suburbs. The role covers maintenance, repair and minor works, grounds, cleaning and pest control, keeping building services plant reliable, safe, compliant and fully operational. It is a permanent position with a salary of $135K to $150K plus super.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a team of managers, corporate services and frontline staff delivering maintenance, minor works, cleaning, grounds and pest control
• Optimise asset performance, manage budgets and ensure compliance with best practice and legislative requirements
• Direct contractors and teams across facilities in Melbourne's Inner Northern Suburbs
• Oversee contractor safety and compliance, including SWMS and the company's risk protocols
• Monitor and drive monthly KPIs and manage client requests and feedback
• Maintain contractual compliance through site inspections and raise work orders or quotes as needed
• Complete reporting accurately and on time

Required profile

• Full Australian work rights (no sponsorship available)
• Ability to obtain a clear national police check and site-specific clearances
• Previously run P&L and growing business opportunities
• Experience leading teams in large, complex facilities; university or hospital experience is an advantage
• 8+ years in facilities management, including at least 5 years running managers and teams in Australia to Australian codes and standards
• Valid Australian driver's licence

Required skills

• Cert III in electrical, plumbing, HVAC or fire trade
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical or HVAC building services plant
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
