Senior Tax Consultant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Tax Consultant to join our Australian practice of a global audit, tax and advisory firm. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality tax advisory and compliance services to multinational groups, large private businesses and fast‑growing enterprises, working across corporate, M&A and international tax matters.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct tax research and interpret complex Australian and international tax legislation.
• Draft clear, commercially‑focused tax advice for clients.
• Support the structuring of business operations, investments and restructures.
• Liaise with the Australian Taxation Office on behalf of clients.
• Contribute to due‑diligence, M&A and cross‑border projects.
• Deliver compliance services for complex corporate clients across various industries.
• Collaborate with Tax Managers, Senior Managers and Partners on engagements.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in corporate tax within an Australian accounting or tax consulting environment.
• Experience with corporate income tax, capital gains tax, M&A tax and/or international tax.
• Progress towards or completion of a Masters of Tax or similar postgraduate qualification (highly regarded).
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and a collaborative mindset.
