Senior Tax Accountant

About the role

The Senior Tax Accountant reports to the Financial Controller and ensures Honda Australia meets all internal and external financial reporting and tax compliance requirements. This role supports strategic initiatives through expert tax advice and analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Manage BAS, FBT and corporate income tax compliance, maintaining audit‑ready documentation.
• Oversee year‑end income tax reporting, tax disclosures and schedules for statutory financial statements.
• Coordinate the Annual Compliance Report and other transfer‑pricing reporting for Honda Motor Co.
• Lead engagement with Honda Global and regional tax teams to ensure timely, accurate reporting.
• Develop and maintain tax policies, procedures and controls, and partner with external advisors.
• Support monthly profit and loss reviews, balance‑sheet reconciliations and global result reporting.

Required profile

• CA/CPA qualified with proven taxation or financial accounting experience.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to explain complex tax matters.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills and ability to mentor junior staff.
• Innovative mindset to improve processes and drive continuous improvement.
