Senior Solutions Engineer (PreSales, Bahasa Speaking)

About the role

Couchbase is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to drive technical sales engagements, focusing on customers who develop applications using Couchbase. The role requires a blend of pre‑sales consulting, software development experience, and the ability to communicate in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.

Key responsibilities

• Consult with customers to define challenges and map them to Couchbase solutions.
• Deliver workshops, demos, and PoC/pilot management to ensure successful outcomes.
• Collaborate with sales on account strategy and identify new opportunities.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor, presenting solutions to audiences from developers to C‑suite.
• Provide feedback to product and engineering teams and create technical collateral.

Required profile

• 8+ years in a pre‑sales, customer‑facing or consulting role.
• 3+ years of software development experience.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
• Passion for solving technical challenges and delivering business value.

Required skills

• Programming: Java, Python, JavaScript.NET, C, SQL.
• Experience with NoSQL or distributed high‑performance databases.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Solution design on major database platforms, including data modeling and query optimization.
