Senior Relationship Manager, Credit

About the role

ANZ’s Business & Private Bank is seeking a Senior Relationship Manager, Credit to lead and grow relationships with owners and decision‑makers of large, sophisticated mid‑market corporate clients in Sydney. Working closely with an Assistant Manager and a dedicated credit team, you will provide strategic financing solutions and help clients navigate complex financial challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of Emerging Corporate customers with a customer‑centric approach.
• Collaborate with product partners and the broader credit team to structure and negotiate deals.
• Build strong relationships with operations teams to improve efficiencies and minimise non‑lending losses.
• Prepare and present credit proposals, applying rigorous credit and industry portfolio analysis.
• Ensure compliance with Group audit, QA and regulatory standards.
• Work closely with lending services to monitor provisions and mitigate risk.
• Maintain awareness of industry trends, economic conditions and market forces.

Required profile

• Proven experience in commercial banking or credit management within the mid‑market segment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess credit risk and industry dynamics.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building capabilities with senior corporate stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across product, operations and risk functions.
