Business Banking Manager

About the role

The Business Banking Manager will grow revenue, deposits and share of wallet by originating new small‑business customers, cross‑selling, managing relationships and retaining a portfolio of ANZ small‑business clients.

Key responsibilities

• Build sustainable long‑term client relationships and expand critical customer portfolios.
• Provide value‑added solutions while managing risk and applying financial analysis to identify insights.
• Collaborate with Business Unit teams and wider bank functions to support customer growth.
• Coach and motivate team members, leveraging understanding of individual motivations.
• Develop a network of contacts to source new business, maximise existing relationships and improve effectiveness.

Required profile

• Excellent customer focus with curiosity for understanding drivers and delivering solutions.
• Strong knowledge of financial statements and credit assessment, with a background in business lending.
• Demonstrated people‑management and coaching abilities.
• Understanding of small‑/medium‑business needs and ability to originate new business.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with analytical, negotiation and problem‑solving skills.
