Senior Quantity Surveyor – Head Contractor (ASAP Start)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well‑established boutique consultancy operating as a head contractor on commercial refurbishment and fit‑out projects. The successful candidate will ensure commercial objectives are met and provide strategic, contractual and technical guidance to our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and submitting head‑contract payment claims.
• Prepare and submit variations.
• Support scope development for subcontractors, consultants and suppliers.
• Assist the procurement process.
• Maintain and manage a register of subcontract variations.
• Manage subcontractor and supplier payments and prepare payment schedules.
• Produce financial reports, cost management, cash‑flow forecasting and cost control.
• Provide support on quantum and construction‑related dispute matters.
• Perform contracts administration duties.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar senior role.
• Strong attention to detail and good negotiation abilities.
• Well‑developed interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
