About the role

Join the newly established Transformation Management Office at Queensland's building and construction regulator, where you will partner with senior executives and project teams to provide strategic advice and support across high‑profile initiatives. This senior portfolio management position focuses on establishing best‑practice standards, tools, and governance to ensure projects align with organisational strategy and deliver measurable results.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver monthly reporting to the Portfolio Investment Committee, offering insights, recommendations and tracking project progress through all lifecycle stages.
• Support the scoping, assessment and coordination of new project investments, including stage‑gate submissions to the Committee.
• Monitor and report on benefits realisation for completed projects and help improve portfolio controls such as planning, scheduling, financial management, risk, issues and reporting.
• Develop and maintain templates, user guides, standards and documentation aligned to the QBCC project framework.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of portfolio management practices and foster strong stakeholder relationships.

Required profile

• Experience working in an EPMO or PMO environment.
• Proven portfolio or programme delivery experience.
• Strong investigative, analytical and problem‑solving abilities in project management.
