Senior Project Accountant

About the role

The Senior Project Accountant will lead day‑to‑day financial control, reporting and compliance for the Western Downs Digital Park project. Based in Brisbane, you will work closely with the project team to ensure accurate financial visibility throughout development and construction phases.

Key responsibilities

• Manage month‑end and quarter‑end close activities for Australian project entities, including reconciliations, accruals and journal entries.
• Produce project reporting on actual spend, commitments, budget variances, cash requirements and forecast movements.
• Oversee GST, BAS, bank reconciliations and other Australian compliance requirements.
• Develop and maintain cost coding, approval controls and supporting documentation for development and construction expenditures.
• Partner with Development, Construction, Commercial, Project Controls and Procurement teams to resolve queries and improve financial information.

Required profile

• At least five years of progressive accounting or finance experience in property development, infrastructure, construction, energy or similar capital‑intensive environments.
• Proven experience managing project accounting, financial reporting, month‑end close, reconciliations, accruals and statutory compliance.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and confidence to challenge incomplete financial information.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field; CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent qualification completed or in progress.
