Senior & Principal Electrical Engineers – Power (Suburban Rail Loop East)

About the role

KBR is seeking experienced senior and principal electrical engineers to design and integrate high‑voltage power systems for the Suburban Rail Loop East project in Melbourne. The roles involve detailed design, technical leadership and collaboration with multidisciplinary rail, civil and systems teams.

Key responsibilities

• Detailed design of HV power systems, including substations, earthing & bonding, and primary/secondary equipment.
• Provide technical leadership, design assurance and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Manage interfaces across complex rail and transport systems to ensure safe, resilient infrastructure.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an HV electrical engineer with substation design background.
• Experience in rail, distribution, transmission or major infrastructure projects.
• Strong technical capability and a systems mindset.
