Senior PHP Developer (Laravel / Drupal)

About the role

District is looking for an experienced PHP developer to join its product development and solution implementation team (District CMS). The company has offices in Melbourne, Canberra and Perth, and the role can be fully remote, onsite or a mix of both. It suits someone who enjoys collaborative, team-based technical work in an early-stage, fast-growing SaaS business.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of production-grade experience with PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML and CSS, and Vue.js; ideally also Laravel and/or Drupal.
• Product-based development experience, preferably on a SaaS offering.
• Technical design and architecture at feature level within an existing product codebase.
• Practical experience of test-driven development.
• Expert-level knowledge in an area of PHP, Laravel or Drupal.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and mentorship of a team of developers.

Required skills

• Solid knowledge of SQL databases, HTML5, Linux CLI, REST APIs and Git.
• Regular contributions to projects on GitHub, Drupal, Stack Overflow or similar communities.
• Docker experience, or equivalent knowledge shown through a personal blog, website or project.
