Senior Performance and Reliability Engineer

About the role

ACCIONA Mechanical & Electrical is seeking a Senior Performance and Reliability Engineer to lead reliability and performance improvement across its Waste‑to‑Energy facilities in Kwinana and East Rockingham. You will own plant availability, efficiency and compliance, driving data‑led decisions and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Own overall plant reliability and performance outcomes, including availability, efficiency and regulatory compliance.
• Lead failure‑elimination and reliability engineering programmes in partnership with Engineering Managers.
• Direct Performance Improvement Engineers to identify, prioritise and deliver optimisation initiatives.
• Plan and execute outage engineering, define scope, develop execution strategy and manage post‑outage recovery.
• Provide technical leadership across operations, maintenance and engineering to improve plant results.
• Prepare and manage the master program schedule and conduct critical‑path reviews.
• Facilitate risk‑mitigation workshops and coordinate stakeholder requirements.
• Manage design‑approval gates, ensure compliance with Design Controls and Engineering Management Systems, including Safety in Design.
• Drive performance monitoring, analysis and reporting to support continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Process or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years experience in reliability, maintenance or performance engineering within industrial environments.
• Experience in power generation, energy, waste, mining or heavy‑process industries.
• Strong knowledge of reliability engineering principles such as RCM, FMEA and RCA.
• Hands‑on experience with CMMS/EAM systems.
