Mechanical Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead major mechanical capital projects across a large‑scale mining operation. You will manage projects from front‑end studies through to construction delivery, commissioning and handover while working on a 5:2 roster with camp accommodation and Friday work‑from‑home flexibility.

Key responsibilities

• Lead mechanical projects through all lifecycle phases, from concept to commissioning.
• Coordinate engineering consultants during scoping, study and detailed design stages.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, risks and reporting requirements.
• Oversee contractor performance and ensure contractual obligations are met.
• Maintain project documentation in line with governance and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with maintenance, operations, engineering and site leadership teams.
• Monitor performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering mechanical projects in mining, resources, heavy industry or infrastructure.
• Strong background in managing consultants through early study and detailed design phases.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver projects through execution, construction and commissioning.
• Mechanical engineering qualification or relevant trade background is highly regarded.
• Commitment to high safety and operational standards.
