Senior Mechanical Engineer – Project Delivery

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Project Delivery Group in Perth. The role involves delivering mechanical design and engineering across multidisciplinary mining and energy infrastructure projects, ensuring solutions are safe, innovative and sustainable.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Engineering Manager and Lead Mechanical Engineer in meeting project scope, schedule and cost targets.
• Perform engineering calculations for hydraulic and conveying systems and size mechanical equipment.
• Prepare technical specifications and design criteria in line with statutory, industry and client requirements.
• Manage mechanical packages throughout their lifecycle, including documentation, bid evaluation and vendor coordination.
• Develop 3‑D models and 2‑D drawings and participate in design reviews.
• Coordinate mechanical engineering activities with multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior engineers.

Required profile

• BSc/BEng in Mechanical Engineering with 5–10 years of experience on multidisciplinary projects, preferably in mining or infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of relevant industry standards, codes and regulations.
• Ability to work independently and guide junior team members.
• Effective communication and collaborative skills.
• Professional Engineer registration is preferred.
