Senior Manager – Tax Advisory

About the role

Brentnalls NSW is seeking a technically strong and commercially minded tax professional to join its growing tax advisory team in Sydney. This senior position offers genuine advisory work on complex tax matters, supported directly by a partner and in collaboration with external legal advisers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage complex compliance matters for private groups, trusts and corporate structures.
• Engage with external legal advisers and the ATO on private rulings and other matters.
• Provide tax advice on property acquisitions, developments, sales, leases and retirement‑living structures.
• Handle trusts, estates, succession planning, CGT, Division 7A, GST and small‑business concessions.
• Develop cross‑border and investment structures and draft clear written tax advice.

Required profile

• 6–10+ years of Australian tax experience.
• Strong technical capability and confidence in forming and articulating positions.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• CA or CPA qualified.
