Senior Human Resources Advisor

About the role

The Senior Human Resources Advisor will be based at Aeris' Brisbane corporate office, reporting to the Corporate HR Manager. You will act as a trusted partner to corporate leaders, guiding them through the full employee lifecycle and supporting site HR teams as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, remuneration, talent acquisition and policy matters.
• Support operational HR teams by acting as the primary head‑office contact and covering short‑term vacancies or leave periods.
• Help leaders navigate complex people issues while promoting a culture of performance, accountability and engagement.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field.
• Strong understanding of employment legislation and enterprise agreements.
• Experience in a senior HR or advisory role within mining or heavy industry (desirable).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Confidence to challenge the status quo and drive better outcomes.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business systems.
