Workday Consultant – HCM

About the role

Join Synergy Group’s growing Workday practice as a Functional Consultant specialising in Workday Human Capital Management (HCM). You will work on client engagements, supporting configuration, implementation and optimisation of Workday solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Support client requirement sessions, translate business processes into system outcomes.
• Configure Workday solutions following design standards and delivery timelines.
• Develop documentation, training materials and deliver training sessions for client stakeholders.
• Collaborate with technical teams on integrations, data activities, testing and issue triage.
• Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes and build your consulting toolkit.

Required profile

• Growth mindset, critical thinking and desire for continuous learning.
• Clear, confident communicator able to engage stakeholders and build trusted relationships.
• Australian citizenship and willingness to obtain an AGSVA security clearance.
• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in HR, Information Systems, Business, Commerce or related field.
• Genuine interest in Workday and willingness to complete training and certifications.

Required skills

• Workday HCM configuration and optimisation.
• Exposure to ERP or HCM platforms such as SAP or Oracle (preferred).
• Functional HR knowledge in recruiting, talent, performance or learning.
• Experience with integrations and data testing.
