Senior HR Manager – Australia & New Zealand

About the role

We are seeking a senior HR leader to drive people strategy across Australia and New Zealand for Valvoline Global Operations. The role combines strategic partnership with operational delivery, supporting both sales and manufacturing businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders to translate business objectives into HR initiatives and workforce plans.
• Provide expert guidance on employment law, enterprise agreements, awards and HR policy compliance.
• Oversee employee and industrial relations, including negotiation of enterprise bargaining agreements.
• Lead a local HR team, ensuring high‑performance culture and continuous improvement of people practices.
• Utilise HRIS data and analytics to inform talent management, performance optimisation and reporting.
• Drive organisational development, talent management and succession planning.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in HR leadership within Australia and/or New Zealand.
• Deep knowledge of local labour legislation, awards and enterprise agreements.
• Proven ability to influence senior business leaders and manage cross‑functional projects.
• Experience in both commercial (sales) and manufacturing environments.
• Strong people‑management skills with a track record of building high‑performing HR teams.
