Senior Full-Stack Developer (Remote Contract)

About the role

UntilNow is looking for a senior full-stack developer for a 3 to 6 month fully remote contract to build Rally, its own proposal platform. The product is already in active development with a React + TypeScript frontend and a NestJS + TypeScript API, and the role suits candidates based in Australia and overseas, with possible extension depending on project needs.

Key responsibilities

• Build and ship features across the React and NestJS codebases.
• Work closely with senior product designers to turn designs into production-ready UI, and give constructive feedback on feasibility.
• Help the design team collaborate better with engineering, covering handoff, component structure and using AI tools for rapid prototyping.
• Use AI tools such as Cursor to prototype and build features faster.
• Simplify deployment pipelines, CI/CD workflows and developer experience.
• Teach best practices for code architecture, testing, performance and maintainability.
• Own technical decisions and write clean, documented code.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional full-stack experience with JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Proven React and Node.js experience; NestJS is a strong plus.
• Understanding of relational databases, ORMs and API design.
• Experience collaborating closely with designers and working with AI-assisted tools.
• Comfortable with Docker, CI/CD and cloud services (AWS preferred); familiarity with Stripe, payment flows or SaaS billing is a plus.
• Playwright or similar E2E testing experience; background in design studios, agencies or startups is a plus.
• Excellent communication and ability to work independently remotely.
