Senior Engineer - Civil

About the role

Egis is looking for a Senior Engineer - Civil to join its Urban Development team in Brisbane. You will work on award-winning projects across South East Queensland, including large-scale developments, commercial, industrial and medium-density projects, with a generalist approach across water and transport engineering. As part of an integrated national team, you will also have the chance to work on projects nationwide.

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects across the full lifecycle, from feasibility studies, concept and detailed design through to construction administration and certification on behalf of clients.
• Lead project teams of engineers, designers and drafters to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Produce proposal documentation, fee estimates, develop methodologies, liaise with clients and negotiate contracts.
• Review technical reports, detail designs and construction quality assurance data to ensure compliance with relevant standards.

Required profile

• Ideally 7+ years' experience as a civil engineer with expertise in urban development (brownfield/greenfield), water and transport engineering for civil infrastructure in South East Queensland.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Washington Accord).
• RPEQ or willingness to obtain it.
• Experience managing projects from concept to delivery.
• Strong understanding of greenfield projects and a desire for land development/subdivision expertise.
• Motivation to progress within a consultancy and to mentor junior engineers and designers.

Required skills

• Civil design with knowledge of relevant guidelines, Australian Standards and Local Council Planning Schemes.
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
