Senior Design Engineer – Hobart

About the role

Partum Engineering is seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer to join our Hobart team, focusing on electrical infrastructure projects across overhead and underground distribution.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver LV, MV and HV overhead and underground distribution designs.
• Prepare engineering calculations, drawings and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with clients, utilities, contractors and project teams.
• Review designs and provide technical guidance to engineers and designers.
• Ensure designs comply with Australian Standards and utility requirements.
• Provide technical support throughout project delivery.
• Mentor and support junior engineers.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong experience in electrical distribution design, both overhead and underground.
• Knowledge of LV, MV and HV systems and relevant Australian standards.
• Confident in managing projects and stakeholder relationships.
• Experience with Australian utilities, network operators or engineering consultancies is highly regarded.
