Senior Civil Designer – Defence (Relocation to Adelaide)

About the role

Join AECOM in Adelaide to design and integrate resilient utilities and environmental systems for Defence bases. The role offers long‑term project security, a diverse pipeline of work and relocation assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver drafting and design on large multidisciplinary civil engineering projects.
• Collaborate with engineers and drafters locally and internationally to ensure timely delivery of design deliverables.
• Mentor and lead junior members of the drafting and design team.
• Support the creation of resilient assets that enhance Australia’s Defence capabilities.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of experience in a similar civil design role, preferably within a consultancy.
• Demonstrated ability to develop independent designs for utilities coordination, drainage, earthworks and road design.
• Australian citizenship required for Defence security clearance.
• Associate Degree or Advanced Diploma in Engineering Design preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with 12D or Civil 3D software packages.
