Senior Business Services Accountant – Advisory Pathway – Brisbane (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Business Services Accountant to join our growing Brisbane advisory firm. This role offers greater client ownership, strong advisory exposure, and a clear pathway toward leadership within a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of SME clients across diverse industries.
• Prepare and review financial statements, income tax returns, BAS and other compliance requirements.
• Provide proactive business advisory and tax planning support.
• Build trusted relationships with business owners and act as a valued advisor.
• Collaborate with Managers and Partners on complex client matters.
• Review work completed by junior accountants and provide guidance.
• Identify opportunities to add value beyond traditional compliance work.

Required profile

• 3+ years’ experience in Australian public practice accounting.
• Strong Business Services and Tax experience.
• Experience managing or assisting with a client portfolio.
• CA/CPA qualified or currently completing studies.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Proactive mindset with genuine interest in advisory work.
• Ability to manage competing deadlines while maintaining quality.
