Senior Business Development Manager – Finance & Lending

About the role

We are a specialist non‑bank lender focused on providing tailored funding to professional services firms and small businesses across Australia. We are expanding our front‑line sales capability and need an experienced Business Development Manager to originate and close new deals while building referral and distribution partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Originate, structure and close new financing deals, preparing proposals and credit rationales.
• Expand existing markets and penetrate new verticals underserved by major banks.
• Match a broad range of funding solutions to client needs and manage relationships from first contact to settlement.
• Develop and grow referral and distribution partner networks, including platform partners and professional networks.
• Collaborate with the sales development team on qualified opportunities while maintaining your own pipeline.
• Achieve and exceed new‑business revenue targets.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of front‑line experience in business lending, credit, or finance broking.
• Proven track record of originating and closing financing deals.
• Established network of referral or professional‑services contacts.
• Strong commercial acumen and financial literacy.
• Self‑directed, energetic and resilient in a fast‑changing environment.
