Senior Associate Family Lawyer - Gold Coast

About the role

A well-established national family law firm is recruiting a Senior Associate Family Lawyer for its Gold Coast team. The role suits someone with at least four years of post-admission experience who wants to provide expert legal advice across a wide range of family law matters, with autonomy over their caseload and opportunities for business development, client relationship management and mentoring junior lawyers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice on divorce and separation
• Handle property settlements and financial agreements
• Deal with parenting disputes and child support matters
• Advise on de facto and same-sex relationship matters
• Manage relocation and intervention orders
• Manage your own caseload within a supportive network
• Contribute to business development, client relationship management and mentoring junior lawyers

Required profile

• Admitted to practice in Australia with at least four years of post-admission experience in family law (private practice)
• Proven ability to manage cases independently and give strategic legal advice
• Experience in business development and growing a referral network
• Ability to mentor junior lawyers and work in a team

Required skills

• Strong client management, negotiation and advocacy skills
• Commercially minded with strong time management skills
