Sales Development Representative (SDR) – Brandwatch, Melbourne

About the role

Brandwatch, part of Cision, is looking for a Sales Development Representative in Melbourne. The SDR builds the sales pipeline by researching and engaging potential accounts so that meetings can be scheduled and converted into qualified sales opportunities. The team works closely with the Account Executive team to drive revenue through new business.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for potential customers
• Stay up to date on industry news and the social media landscape
• Become an expert on the brand, business and SaaS product
• Generate leads and nurture warm prospects and new prospects using Salesloft, Salesforce, LinkedIn, Cognism, Gong and other platforms
• Aim for an average of 100 outbound activities per day, scheduling platform walk-throughs and starting the sales process
• Manage the pipeline of interested prospects and engage sales executives on the next step
• Take part in training and development programs

Required profile

• Sales background (sales, BDR and SaaS experience preferred); recruitment experience or a passion for a sales career is also acceptable
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Motivated, able to exceed targets in a quota-driven environment with short, dynamic sales cycles
• Coachable, responsible, team player
