Remote General Practitioner (Australia)

About the role

Abby Health is seeking licensed General Practitioners to provide same‑day, online primary care to patients across Australia. Working remotely, you will deliver high‑quality consultations for everyday health issues while maintaining long‑term patient relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct remote video or phone consultations, diagnose and treat common conditions.
• Document patient histories using structured intake tools and electronic medical records.
• Adhere to Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) requirements and clinical governance standards.
• Ensure patient safety, follow up proactively, and participate in continuous quality improvement.
• Collaborate with nurse practitioners and support staff to provide coordinated care.

Required profile

• Registered medical practitioner with a current Australian medical licence.
• Experience in primary care; telehealth experience is a plus.
• Willingness to work flexible hours between 5:30 am and 11:30 pm, seven days a week.
• Commitment to patient‑centred care and professional indemnity coverage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with telehealth platforms.
• Experience using electronic medical records systems.
• Knowledge of the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) and related billing processes.
