Programs and Community Engagement Manager – Health Level 3

About the role

Lead programs that transform lives and strengthen community health outcomes across Drug Health Services. You will work within the Sydney Local Health District to develop community and staff engagement strategies, manage the statewide Drug and Alcohol Health Services Library, and support the Executive team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Drug Health Services Executive team in meeting community and staff engagement targets.
• Develop and lead a community strategy to address drug and alcohol harms and public amenity issues.
• Design and implement a staff engagement strategy to promote a positive workplace culture.
• Oversee projects and tasks to ensure timely delivery within scope, time and budget.
• Manage two project officers and two library staff, providing leadership and performance oversight.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading complex projects and managing a portfolio of initiatives with competing priorities.
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes within prescribed timeframes.
• Experience in personnel management and leading effective teams.
• Ability to work a Monday‑Friday roster and hold a current NSW driver’s licence.
