Registered Nurse – Theatre (Urology)

About the role

Join Australia’s only university‑owned academic health precinct as a Registered Nurse in the Urology Theatre team. You will work in state‑of‑the‑art operating theatres delivering a broad range of urological surgeries.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and set up surgical instruments and specialised urological equipment for each procedure.
• Perform scrub and/or scout duties across endoscopic, laparoscopic and open urological surgeries.
• Conduct pre‑operative safety checks and maintain a sterile theatre environment.
• Operate specialised equipment such as endoscopic systems, laser devices and irrigation systems.
• Assist the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
• Demonstrated experience in scrub and/or scout roles, preferably in urology.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer‑service focus.
• Ability to work autonomously while maintaining high clinical standards.
